Welcome to the third podcast in my series on cozy mystery genres. This week we are talking about mysteries with bookshop and library settings.
When I was a young girl (many years ago) I loved Saturdays. Not because of the morning cartoons (but they were a close second, especially Scooby-Doo) but because this was the day the bookmobile came to our neighborhood. We lived too far away from the downtown library, and this wonderful service was provided for the outlying towns. The woman who drove the bookmobile always seemed to know each of us and what our favorite books would be. There was always a mystery waiting for me.
Obviously, these setting are perfect for any kind of mystery, but especially cozies. Some very clever book lovers, who share the love of libraries and bookstores, have written books about mysteries with librarians and bookstore owners as their main characters. And that’s what we are talking about today.
If you’re enjoying this video and want to help me solve the next cozy mystery, you can “buy me a coffee”. Every cup fuels my writing, supplies the cats with treats, and keeps my amateur sleuths on the case. The link is waiting for you in the description—thank you for your support!
